[Daily Review of Aluminum Scrap: Aluminum Prices Slightly Corrected, Aluminum Scrap Market Focuses on Stable Pricing] Today, spot primary aluminum dropped by 30 yuan/mt compared to the previous trading day, with SMM A00 spot aluminum closing at 20,600 yuan/mt. Aluminum scrap market quotations remained basically flat, and the price difference between primary metal and scrap narrowed slightly. Currently, aluminum scrap traders are actively selling, but downstream scrap utilization enterprises' demand falls short of expectations, primarily engaging in bargain down purchasing prices. Overall market transactions were moderate. In the short term, aluminum scrap prices are expected to continue to fluctuate rangebound, following primary aluminum.
<SMM March 4 News:> Today, spot primary aluminum dropped by 30 yuan/mt compared to the previous trading day, with SMM A00 spot aluminum closing at 20,600 yuan/mt. Aluminum scrap market quotations remained basically flat, with today's baled UBC aluminum scrap quoted at 15,050-15,850 yuan/mt (excluding tax) and shredded aluminum tense scrap quoted at 16,350-17,950 yuan/mt (excluding tax). As aluminum prices slightly declined, aluminum scrap prices remained firm, leading to a slight narrowing of the price difference between primary metal and scrap. Currently, aluminum scrap traders are actively selling, but downstream scrap utilization enterprises' demand is below expectations, primarily engaging in bargain down purchasing prices, resulting in overall moderate market transactions.
